The Shidaa Cultural Troupe is an Accra-based drumming and dance Company with unique repertoire of "African Folk Music" and energetic performances which have established them as stellar performers throughout the entertainment sector in Ghana. They are one of the fastest growing troupes of performing artists with the unique objective of promoting the cultural heritage of the Nation of Ghana through drum and dance performances.
A visit to our base in Bukom, James-Town, Accra, reveals the multiplicity of talents displayed by the members of this group. With excitement they share with you their accomplishments and desire to give of their talents to an even broader and expanded audience.
It is in the development and optimization of these natural (and inherited) talents that led to the creation of a wood production factory which manufactures and repairs various types of drums and other wood products for the troupe’s activities, and for sales on the open market for revenue. Sales continue to grow each month with growing orders coming from neighboring West African Nations.
The talented young men and women have for decades lived and worked in the James-Town and Ussher-Town communities, known as GA-MASHI in Urban Accra, the Capital City of Ghana, and have contributed immensely to the development of those communities through drumming, dances, communal mobilization, and the promotion of Ghanaian cultural values.
